Thanksgiving Pheasant

After seeing Susan's beautiful centerpiece
on her blog "Between Naps On The Porch"
I got dreadfully jealous for her
white pheasant vase.
Thankfully I also learned from her blog
that William Sonoma had it on sale
right now!!!
I headed right over to their website
and found it on clearance
for $83.99 down from $139.95!
After convincing Sam that we needed one,
we headed over to our
local brick and mortar that night.
They had two in stock but neither
still had their original box,
which I require for storage.
The helpful clerk recommended
I order online with free shipping
and I'd get one with its box.
We ordered it that night!
It arrived days later and
I must say, It's huge!
Measuring in @
21¾'' long x 8¾''wide x 18¾''high
but it is beautiful.
Here it is in dramatic lighting - oooooo!
I can't wait to mix it into next year's
Thanksgiving tablescape!

A year ago a friend of mine gave me a
pumpkin truck cookie jar from Pier 1.
unfortunately it was missing its lid.
So this year Sam and I paid a visit to
Hobby Lobby and Michael's
to gather some fall foliage
and turn it into a planter.

We think it turned out pretty nice!
You can't even tell it was
supposed to be a cookie jar.

Thanks for stopping by and
happy hunting!

Will Wonders Never Cease? Halloween M&M's are Back!

Sam and I found these walking through
Target this September.
Look who finally came to their senses!
Mars & Murrie must have realized
Halloween is where it's at!
It's a new version of the M&M's
Ghoul's Mix
and it's on the shelves for
Halloween!

Gone is the black M&M from the mix
that was"Cool Ghoul's Mix" from 2012
shown below.
However it's a small price to pay
to finally have the bright and fun
Halloween party mix back in
my candy dishes for the season!

Let's all hope this step in the right
direction will last for years to come!
Will the fall colors still show up
for Thanksgiving?
Doubtful, In years past I couldn't even
find the fall M&M's on the shelf
after Halloween, when I needed to fill
my Thanksgiving candy dishes.
It was all red and green by then.

Thanks for stopping by and
Happy Halloween!

HomeGoods Halloween 2019

Sam and I took our grandson, Jaylen, to
HomeGoods last weekend to checkout
the new Halloween offerings,
and we weren't disappointed!

Lots of witches, as usual.

 A yoga skeleton!

 Check out this spooky serveware!
 Love this witch's expression.
It's all so beneath her.
A great offering of
Fall/Thanksgiving serveware .
3 gnome pumpkins in a cart
garden statue😕
Pink and gold pumpkins and
flower pattern pumpkins
very couture.
Jaylen even found
his favorite piece.
Would be great Halloween night.
Thanks for stopping by
and happy haunting.

A Haunted Cookie Jar Village

Wouldn't it be grand to have a
haunted village made out of cookie jars?
I never started one, but I've had
the idea for years.
This is a splendid one from
Cheryl's.com out this year for $49.99.
Lots of creepy details and an awesome
skeleton on the front.
Not too exciting the rest of the way around.
Love the bat in the moon.
The silver roof is cool too.
Cheryl's has offered a unique
haunted house cookie jar
almost every year.
Here are a few from past years.
 Some interesting, and some plain
But together they would make
quite an attractive village.
MrsFields.com used too offer
some very nice ones in the past too.
This one was my absolute favorite.
I adore the black cat on the roof.
and the spooky black ghost in the
front doorway, all the colors.
didn't nab it when it was out,
but I wish I had.
This one was nice too.
I wish Mrs. Fields would consider
offering more haunted house cookie jars.
One of their last was this
haunted train station cookie jar.
Maybe the train station didn't
sell well so they ended the
line...no pun intended.
Still, it would look nice in a village.
Thanks for stopping by
and happy hunting!
