Check Out That Ass!

Look what wandered into our front yard!

A cute little burro standing there 

by the dry riverbed 

We named him Mojave, meaning "by the river".

What's neat is he looks like he's made of terra cotta,

but that's just paint, he's actually solid concrete 

and as heavy as an elephant.

We found him at our local outdoor 

garden statuary store "Little Baja".

We were looking for a giant tortoise sculpture

till we stumbled upon this little guy.

Since we have wild burros running around 

the desert on the outskirts of town, 

we thought he would look

right at home in our yard.

So here he stands, his job is to greet visitors and 

scare the birds away from our berry bush.
