Christmas Cuties in the Tablescape

It's always a treat to find fresh fruit in the 

Christmas tablescape.

Is there a more perfect fruit around 

this time of year than mandarin oranges?

We always grab a bag of Cuties 

when we go grocery shopping. 

They make a great snack

and tasty stocking stuffers.

They certainly brighten up the table 

for a short time before they get devoured.

New to the scape this year are these

Coca-Cola Santa plates won on Ebay, 

and the red handled flatware

found at HomeGoods.

The Santa plates don't really go with 

the white deer theme,

but since it's all Christmas, 

in a round about way they belong.

It does open the door to a new theme

that doesn't have to feature deer on everything!

I do love those deer though, they'll 

probably stick around a little longer!

I've Got A Lovely Bunch of Christmas Cookie Jars...

There they are, all standing in a row

Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head...

It's time once again to deck the halls

with Christmas cookie jars!

I even have a few new pieces to show off!

Let's start on the green cabinet...

No Christmas is complete without a train!

So here's the festive Lionel Santa Fe 

diesel engine cookie jar (1) with the 

classic red warbonnet livery.

A perfect color for the Christmas season!

to the left is a three bowl reindeer server

that Sam and I picked up at Target 

a year or two ago.

I just love the gold antlers.

The snowflake runner was also a Target find!

Up to the right above the backdoor...

we spy sweet little 

"Snuggly Sugar Bear" cookie jar (2)

It looks so tasty, you can't blame him 

for trying a piece!

Just down below, we see

 that a heavy snow has fallen,

and someone, perhaps, on their way home 

with a Christmas tree, parked their red

 lodge car cookie jar (4)  Kohl's ca.2015 

to build a snowman cookie jar (5) 

 Harry & David ca.2015.

It looks like a chilly winter wonderland!

Moving on to the hutch buffet,

we find the usual Christmas gang.

The original Certified Gingerbread House 

Cookie Jar (6) ca. 2011

up at the top,

along with the Gingerbread Man cookie jar (7),

Radko Holly Jolly Santa cookie jar (8),

Apple Tree Mrs. Claus cookie car (9),

and Frosty the Snowman cookie jar (10).

All happy to make their yearly appearance.

A new red runner this year from HomeGoods

 has a design that hearkens back to mid century 

style with white reindeer and white 

holly berries and leaves.

New on the hutch this year,

but acquired on sale after last Christmas,

Hallmark's Santa and Mrs. Claus 

dancing salt and pepper shaker set.

They don't move, they just fit together like

they're in a waltz.

I put them next to the radio as if

dancing to a song.

Cher is showing off her Christmas cheer by

modeling on the Santa rug,

a gift from my uncle years ago.

Moving along to the dry goods pantry,

past the stained glass snowman light,

we find another Lionel Stream Engine

I think it adds a lot of country charm.

Cracker Barrel's Red Truck 

with the Christmas tree in back is

technically a candy jar.

so I can't count it.

It sure does fit in nicely with the "cows in the snow"

runner that used to be on the buffet.

Up on the the rooster shelf, or should I say,

down the road from the train station, is the

I put the other farm scene behind it 

to look as if there's an entire 

country Christmas community on this wall.

Finally we head to the kitchen table.

where, nestled in the middle of a tablescape, 

we find Pottery Barn's white reindeer 

cookie jar (14) ca. 2009.

He's happily enjoying his snowy 

woodland surroundings .

I don't think that's all my Christmas cookie jars,

but that's all that I could find in the kitchen.

with dishes and bowls, and Placemats.

Overall, a neat cookie jar 

that sort of compliments

And finally,

while strolling through Harry & David

right after Thanksgiving,

I just couldn't pass up this innocent little face,

with pink cheeks and that bent carrot nose!

In the store you can buy just the cookie jar
